While here at Song Dog we concentrate on the creek and kayaking, we also know there are folks who are looking for a longer visit than just one day or so. If you just want to relax after a great day on the creek, there are several options in the area for you to choose from.
Silver Run Cabins
Very nice rustic cabins to spend a few days enjoying the Ozarks. Located about three miles from the Buffalo River on Hwy 14. We have personally stayed here and the accommodations are top notch.
Ozark Mountain Trading Company
If after you have experienced our kayaks on the creek for a day (or several) and decide that maybe a kayak is right for you, please check out one of Bruce and Larry’s shops. They have everything you would need to get started and are fine folks to talk with.
Blue Heron RV Park
Blue Heron RV park is nestled just above the White River bridge in Cotter, Arkansas and has all the expected RV amenities.
Crooked Creek Canoes
If kayaking is not your cup of tea but you would like a nice float with a canoe, then call Crooked Creek Canoes and talk to Becky for scheduling and pricing information.
For those wanting a memorable guided fishing experience, there is no finer guide than my friend Buzz Reeves for fishing trout on the White or fishing Crooked Creek for ‘smallies’. Check out his face book for contact info.
